Dyestuffs mixture manufactured by formulation
Powder:
Powder dyes are manufactured through a blending process of different dyes. Frequently antidust treatments are applied to the final mixture.
This category includes all kind of dyestuffs mostly represented by reactive dyes and metal complexes.
The applications of solid powders obtained through a formulation process are related to all natural, artificial and synthetic fibers.
Aqueous solutions:
Liquid dye solutions are obtained by dissolving powders or concentrated liquid single colour index dyes in an aqueous phase and adjusting the tinctorial strength and hue through a formulation process with other dyes and additives in order to meet specific colour requirements. If necessary they can undergo a purification process too.
High quality liquid dyes (salt-free) with low environmental impact are easy to use and readily adaptable to automated systems. The main categories of products are acid, metal complex and reactive dyes.
The applications of aqueous solutions are related to nylon, wool, cotton and leather.
Aqueous dispersions:
Appropriate water insoluble disperse dyes in powder form, are dispersed in aqueous phase and the particle size is reduced through a grinding process to obtain the disperse dyes formulations in liquid form.
Those dyes are mainly used for polyester fibres
