 HSE Specialist - Zanica Plant 

We are looking for an HSE Specialist who, reporting to the Site HSE Manager, will support the HSE Department for the implementation of HSE&E projects and best HSE&E practices.  

The resource will be responsible for coordinating training courses and audits, preparing the necessary procedures and instructions, interacting with all departments, to ensure the development of the HSE&E culture. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Guarantee the application and compliance with current regulations on Health, Safety at work, on control of major accident hazards related to hazardous substancesand Environmental protection. 
  • Manage relations with external entities. 
  • Carry out and Coordinate risk assessment activities on HSE Topics and development of preventive and protective measures. 
  • Implement procedures and operating instructions and verify the effectiveness of the Health, Safety and Environment management systems. 
  • Manage relationships and interventions with external contractors / suppliers for HSE activities (waste disposal, fire and emergency systems, protective devices, environmental monitoring plans, etc.). 
  • Provide technical and organizational support to the HSE training programs. 
  • Periodically develop and distribute HSE&E reports, presentations and HSE&E topics. 
  • Support the audit process in terms of HSE&E standards compliance. 
  • Update of the safety and environmental authorisation processes and organisation of the required analytical and monitoring activities. 
  • Support the analysis report for HSE incidents, near miss and injury. 
  • Collaborate with the occupational doctor for health surveillance. 

Education and other requirements: 

  • Candidates, male or female, must have acquired a degree in science, with a specialization in the environment or safety sector and have gained experience in similar roles of at least 3 years. 
  • Knowledge of the main sector regulations (IPPC, RIR, Legislative Decree 81/08, Legislative Decree 152/06,  Legislative Decree 105/2015 etc.) and of management systems according to UNI EN ISO 14001, ISO 45001 are required. 
  • Good organizational and relational skills, precision. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills attention and willingness to carry out activities in the field complete the profile. 
  • Having already gained a short experience in similar roles and meeting the requirements set out in Article 32 of Legislative Decree 81/08 and the S / R Agreement (at least Form A and Form B5) are preferred.
