Cellulosic Ethers

Cellulose is the most diffuse natural polymer in the world.  Cellulose itself is unsoluble and could be difficultly used in industrial applications. 

Chemical modifications of cellulose can lead to soluble products which offer a wide range of functional solutions to many applications.
Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) is probably the most useful derivative of cellulose and Lamberti is one of the major players in the world.

Lamberti started the production of CMC in 1958 and has progressively improved its production processes and differentiated the range.
Today the  CARBOCEL® brand counts more than 50 derivatives that differ in the Degree of Substitution, Molecular Weight,  Purification Degree and consequently in their applications and function of use.
