We won!
Lamberti has received the 2009 Product Stewardship Award from Federchimica.
This recognition is assigned by the industry association to chemical companies that in the Responsible Care program have distinguished themselves for special attention to the responsible management of products throughout their life cycles.
Our winning project concerns the elimination of boron from the cation guars for cosmetics, used in the purification processes of this important ingredient of shampoos and conditioners. In fact, we found alternative solution in the purification of these modificed polysaccharides welcomed by the market segment most sensitive to these problems. The joint effort of the Guar and Personal Care labs, with the Zanica plant, made it possible to obtain Esaflor BF 2 and Esaflor BF 7, purified cation guars totally boron-free, with a view to even greater attention to the health of workers and consumers.

Galante, Corporate Education Manager, "originating from a precise market demand, developed in thr manner and timing required and forerunner of an imminent EU directive to eliminate boron from cosmetics. Only thanks to the close teamwork of the variuos company functions (RS and RSA labs, Analysis Lab, the commercial function and the Cosmetics BU, plant and HSE personnel) has it been possible to achieve this result, which is also giving highly satisfactory results in terms of sales. This award gratifies and confirms the decision of the Group to vigorously commit to a policy of attention to safety, health and environmental protection, for more sustainable chemicals".
