Coating
With the term of COATING we describe the cover substance on the surface of paper or board. The surfaces are treated with a pigment/binder dispersion to improve printability and appearance: the applied coating tends to fill in the void areas on the paper sheet surface and after drying and calendering it provides to a smoother surface for printing.
Lubricants
Calcium stearate water dispersion. Suggested to optimize the lubrication under blades and to avoid dust on supercalender.
Defoamers
Oil based foam preventing agent for coating color formulation.
Natural thickeners
Purified grade of carboxymethylcellulose to buffer water retention value and confer rheological properties to coating colors.
Co-binders
Full and partial hydrolyzed PVOH polymer to improve binding power and optical brighten efficiency.
Synthetic thickeners
Acrylic derivatives used to optimize viscosity, water retention and rheology of coating colors.
Plasticizers
Polyglycols used for its good leveling properties and control of rheology on coating colors.
