Versatile Additives
Decosphaera® are versatile additives used in a large number of applications ranging from coatings, plastics and adhesives to cosmetics to impart soft touch and texture.
When used in coatings applications impart deep matt effects on surfaces without compromising colour acceptance or burnish, wet scrub, abrasion, or scratch resistance.
Our waterborne polyurethane beads are highly crosslinked and highly elastic.
Decosphaera® are insoluble in water and in most commonly used solvents and do not contain any solvent or VOC.
Their spherical shape is not destroyed by stress during processing or use
Main Applications
- Surface Treatment : Polyurethane beads for deep-matt coatings, combining gloss control, soft-touch or textured effects with improved scratch, abrasion and burnishing resistance.
- Textile and Synthetic Materials: Matting additives for textile coatings and synthetic materials, providing durable matt finishes and tailored surface feel while improving resistance to scuffing and scratching.
- Leather: Matting agents and touch modifiers for leather topcoats, enabling silica-free matt finishes with a silky feel and resistance to wear, scratching and repolishing.
