Our ongoing collaboration with the Science and High Technology Department at Insubria University provides students with invaluable field experience and industry expertise. On May 27, we had the pleasure of hosting 39 second-year students of the degree in Engineering for Work and Environmental Safety, accompanied by  Professor Cristiana Morosini and Dr. Gianluca Germani, as representative of Varese Province.

Soil Monitoring

Soil Monitoring

The day began with an engaging masterclass on soil monitoring and remediation, conducted by Giorgio Carabelli, Sara Ceccon and Francesco Lo Cullo SC of Ramboll.

These experts presented a detailed case study on how to monitor and set up a remediation project at an industrial site.
They covered potential options, the different phases of the project, the necessary organization, sampling techniques and the resources required.

The lesson concluded with a visit to a water treatment installation at our plant.

After lunch,  CIEM Impianti technicians, Davide Sacchi and Dario Pagani,   introduced an innovative approach to operating industrial wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) without interrupting the treatment process during revamping.

The day ended with a visit to our WWTP, providing students with a comprehensive view of modern wastewater treatment techniques.
