COACH: a new instrument for circular economy 

Our involment in the implementation

Lamberti's commitment to sustainability wants to go beyond words and wants to actively work on concrete facts. For this reason, we are proud to have been involved in the processes for the development of COACH (Circularity-Oriented Assistance for Chemical Companies), a tool developed to support chemical companies in measuring and pursuing a circular economy. Created by Federchimica and its industry association Avisa, in collaboration with Certiquality and Ergo - Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, it will be presented to member companies on 18 May in Milan.

Our Group Technical Director will participate in the round table of the event to tell together with the other participants of the working group about our experience with the application of this tool and what could be future evolutions on this topic.

In this working group, we contribute by giving the point of view of a company that produces chemicals specialties; the activity initially envisaged several meetings to define the questions and scoring methods embraced in COACH Tool, which was validated through a visit to our plant in Albizzate attended by Certiquality, Federchimica, and Ergo. The validation process envisaged visits the plants of all the companies that participated in the WG, returning a report with the circularity assessment with suggestions for improvement. Finally, the refinement followed the considerations made during the field validation, obtaining the COACH as it will be presented.
