Lamberti Transforma II - The project evolution

The NGO Aventura de Construir (AdC), after a critical analysis of the experience of the project Lamberti Transforma I  and supported by surveys on the context of the local low-income entrepreneurs, has decided to modify the approach and the structure of Lamberti Transforma II,  the 2022  project carried out with our brazilian subsidiary Lamberti Brasil, in the area of Nova Odessa (S.P.) where we have our main LATAM manufacturing location and R&D center.

The entrepreneurs local context.

The entrepreneurs local context.
Nova Odessa, S.P.

In August 2021, AdC, in collaboration with Catalysis, interviewed  387 low-income entrepreneurs to monitor  their challenges, their business evolution, results and opportunities:

  • only 5.4% of micro-entrepreneurs manage to earn enough to save some money;
  • 53.7% do not have a financial plan;
  • 42.4% are mixing their business accounts with family private accounts;
  • Most of them express a desire to have training in the use of social networks, a preparation on how to implement their business plan and how to carry out market research.

In March 2022, AdC was invited to share its trajectory as an NGO working with low-income micro-entrepreneurs in the suburbs during two meetings on the articulation of public policies held by Sebrae Universidade Corporativa and Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

For these events, AdC has carried out an in-depth evaluation of the themes and contents experienced during the 2020 and 2021 projects which summarize and provide a systematic analysis of the needs of local micro-entrepreneurs.

What changes.

What changes.

Finally, a third moment was focused on the specific demands and needs of the intervention group composed of new and old attendees to Lamberti Transforma Projects. That took place in the form of face-to-face interviews, allowing us to obtain an in-depth picture of the needs of the public.

As a main result of the analysis, the Lamberti Transforma II has evolved including:

  • The training will take place in 11 weeks instead of the 4 weeks of training of the previous edition, to permit a deeper comprehension of the subjects.
  • extension of participation in the project for men and families because they are always participating in local women's enterprises.
  • A third result is the participation of former trainees to strengthen their activities and become models by sharing their experiences with new entrepreneurs. Their participation also acts as a multiplier of our initiative within the community.
