Giornata in dono

To give is to be together and know one another, understand one another, open up, look at oneself, smile, and lend a hand. We were able to donate all this thanks to our commitment to the territory, joining as volunteers to the Giornata in Dono.

Precious Experience

This year we have chosen Fondazione Renato Piatti as a partner for the "Giornata in Dono" program. Our employees will support the guests of the Centro di Fondazione Piatti in laboratory activities that will lead to the creation of a greeting card to be included in the gifts that will animate the Christmas Campaign «Turn on a spark».
The Foundation takes care of 700 people with disabilities and autism from 2 to 84 years, to give each of them:

  • assistance at the rehabilitation level
  • psychological support
  • educational interventions
  • healthcare

Working Togheter

The Giornate in Dono are set to take place from October to December, once a week, between 9.30 and 16.30. Our employees will be welcomed in the Fondazione Piatti's Centers in Varese, Busto Arsizio, Sesto Calende, and Besozzo. These days represent an opportunity for inclusion, creating shared value, as we are going to relate to young adults with intellectual and/or neuromotor disabilities. Through our commitment to the territory and our voluntary efforts, we not only make a positive impact on the lives of others but also embark on a journey of mutual understanding and empathy.

Diversity & Inclusion

These days are an opportunity to create synergies between our population and that of Fondazione Piatti, a starting point to get in touch with people with disabilities; discover the genuineness of their smiles, and capture the value that this time spent together will give to both guests of the Centres of Fondazione Piatti and our employees who will be involved. Understanding one another becomes a natural outcome of this shared experience.

People

As we started the project in October, some of our employees already had the opportunity to live in the Giornata in Dono, and we have received this precious feedback: "I would like to thank you, all the staff, and especially the guests for the wonderful welcome, for the warmth and spontaneity. I think I received more than I could give!"

Life

The act of giving encompasses more than just the material contributions; it forges connections, builds understanding, encourages self-reflection, spreads joy, and strengthens the fabric of our community. Through our commitment to volunteering and events like Giornata in Dono, we not only give to others but also receive the invaluable gifts of unity, empathy, and shared humanity. By working together, we can create positive change.
